Yes– use the Strum mode, which is a Per-Split Setting in the “Special” column. It is explained in the relevant section of the Panel Settings page.

In brief summary, you must set one split to this Strum mode (usually the right split), then play a string-instrument sound on the other split. Strumming the Strum split will play notes fingered in the other split, and will permit hammer-ons and pull-offs.
