google cloud platform – ActiveMQ Artemis data inconsistency in DR

In my production environment, I have an Apache ActiveMQ Artemis setup with high availability (HA) replication. This setup consists of two instances:

Artemis Version:
2.6.0

A master

A slave

Both instances have a data disk attached for the journal/data directory.

For disaster recovery (DR), I have a similar setup in a separate region.

The primary disk in the primary region has a secondary disk replication via GCP’s cross-region replication (GXP) that is replicating data on the disk and is consistent with primary.
This secondary disk is intended to be mounted on the DR region’s master instance during a failover.
Issue: Messages Missing After DR Disk Attachment
When I attach the replicated disk to the DR master instance, I can see the queues, and the disk size matches the primary setup. The AMQ journal files are also present in the journal directory. However, the messages are missing

Is there a reason why the data is not seen in my dr instance though the data set size matches and queues exist?
