Vintage Limiter plugin… (in: Effects)

I have no idea what McDSP is doing here but taking a quick look in Plugin Doctor shows that it has very different attack/release times for different frequencies. Low and high frequencies have almost instant timings whereas around 300Hz to 2kHz have much longer attack and release constants. Combine this with clever filtering of the control signal and you can pretty much tailor the harmonic series of the compression.

Mind you, this plugin creates zero harmonic distortion unless it is limiting. Al…
