I don’t know why you are trying that stuff in the first place, it can only cause distortion. Admittedly not like that but MeloTuning never improves a vocal. If the person is off, they still sound off. Only now everything sounds weird.

Maybe necessarily if you (actual) fans want that sound but if you are after a new audience, why chase away those most likely to actually engage with an unknown act. Tuning dehumanizes when you need to grab people with something unique and powerful. Think John Lydo…
