In the top right of the Waveform browser there is a + icon under the x, which opens a second browser tab. In one browser I select ‘Search’ at the top and ‘Project’ from the left hand panel. This is where I often keep track of my renders and imports etc, and I used to use: step 1; right click on file and ‘open the folder containing this file’ method to navigate to Windows explorer and manage files that way.
