xfce – How to disable automated screen lock after a system update?

I know this from security settings I am supposed to apply, so this is one place to look:

  • /etc/dconf/db/local.d/02-login-screen
    • contents:
      • [org/gnome/desktop/screensaver]
      • lock-enabled=true —> change to false
  • /etc/donf/db/local.d/locks/session
    • if this file is present and has entries of lock-enabled then either delete those line entries or remove this file.

you should also be able to just remove these files… they are not present after a clean install of Redhat from iso.

After modifying, adding, or removing any of these dconf files you must do dconf update for it to go into effect.

Also search and look at everything under /etc/dconf/
