virtual machine – failed to access perfctr msr(msr coo1ooo4 is 0) Ubuntu 14.10 on VirtualBox

I am Trying to set up a Virtual Machine using Virtual Box, I want to have fun with fork bomb using an old Ubuntu version (chose 14.10).

I created the Virtual Machine with 3.5Go RAM (can’t give more that’s the limit or i’ll have more than 60% of my computer’s ram and VB doesn’t allow that), 2 CPU cores.

When I launch the machine, i have this error showing failed to access perfctr msr(msr coo1ooo4 is 0) then it just starts but I don’t have any GUI and I can’t do anything. Just the background as shown in the image.

Any idea on how to fix this with my computer limits ? (I kinda understood that was a RAM problem looking at forums)

Specs :
VirtualBox is 7.0.14

My laptop runs Windows 11

Ubuntu ISO file is 14.10
