azure – Query execution times are different on different machines
We have a Azure SQL Database with 10 Vcores. When we run a sql query connrecting remotely to the sql database on two different machines query execution times are varying. below are the two different machines and the statistics
Machine 1: Remotely connected to Azure SQL database using SSMS
System RAM : 32 GB RAM
operating system: windows 11 Enterprise
processor: 13th gen intel core i9, 2.60GHZ
Machine 2: Remotely connected to Azure SQL database using SSMS on Azure VM
System RAM : 56 GB GB RAM
operating system: windows server 2016 DataCenter
trying to figure out the ways to improve the query performance on the machine 1 and what is causing high execution time on machine 1
