Does the clicking happen when the hits are separate (i.e. the sample finishes playing), or when they overlap (i.e. the first hit is still playing)? If you’re suddenly interruping the playback of a single cycle wave, it is likely not on a zero crossing and might produce a click. Maybe try very small attack and release values to allow it to fade to 0, if it doesn’t affect the transient too much.
