What I do now for a JC-120 is similar to what I described above, with a few key adjustments.
Now I and using the Crystal Clean tone model inside TONEX instead of AmpliTube, because you can disable the amp and cab components separately.
I run an instance of TONEX with the cab disabled and follow it with a spring reverb. JC-120s use a type 8 spring reverb. Early models used the same reverb tank as the RE-201 Space Echo, which is short and has the 3 springs configured in a Z shape. The best spri…
