xfce – Linux Kernal update borked my machine
I am new to Linux, my computer is a former Chromebook. I have been running Linux MINT XFCE 21.3 without issue until tonight’s kernal update. The “nice” people on Linux Mint’s support site closed and invalidated my report there. Told me to report it to Ubuntu but not HOW to do that when my computer will not boot! I posted the same message there as I did here, images included.
The images are what I see when I tried to get my computer to boot.
The first one, I have tried every option on the screen and they either do nothing or shut down my computer.
First Screen shot taken by external camera.
The second one is from when I just hit Control D.Second Screen shot taken with external camera.
I have asked for help and been told something got screwed up when it downloaded or installed and been told by 2 people I trust to get a fresh install of Linux MINT XFCE 21.3 and reinstall it. I had to Google how to tell you guys this as my machine is borked (will not boot correctly and will not go into any mode under any edition) right now. If this is not the right place, please be gentle as I am nearly in tears with frustration over this.
Thank you, Steph
