A brilliant CG Artist and popular YouTube, CGMatter has recently extended his own facial hair using the power of 3D software, capturing and unwrapping his face in real-time and attaching an Amish-style CG beard to it, resulting in an impressively realistic look that could easily fool even the most eagle-eyed viewer. Although the author didn’t explicitly confirm it, it’s highly likely that this digital beard surgery was accomplished using Blender, the creator’s go-to application, and KeenTools’ FaceTracker plug-in, which CGMatter has been experimenting with recently.
