Fade in when pressing playback button

Whenever I press play, there’s a short fade in/slow attack on the audio. It’s universal across all instruments and configurations I’ve tried, and it’s been happening to me ever since v4 released. I feel like I’ve looked everywhere in audio, mixer, and playback settings, but I’ve found nothing, both googling and looking around myself. It’s most obvious when turning on the metronome, when I press play I don’t hear the first click at all. It’s driving me crazy, I just want to hear notes the instant I press spacebar. Sometimes I want to hear one beat at a time to listen to the vertical harmony or something, and I’m tired of having to start playback from a couple beats earlier. Any help would be much appreciated.
