authentication – Unable to Log in to Kali Linux VM on VirtualBox: Redirects Back to Login Screen

I am running Kali Linux on Oracle VM VirtualBox, and I am encountering a persistent issue where I am unable to log in. When I enter my credentials, the system does not log me in but instead redirects me back to the login screen, asking for my credentials again.

  • Host OS: Windows 11
  • Guest OS: Kali Linux
  • VirtualBox Version: 7.0.10
  • Kali Linux Version: Ubuntu_64-bit

I have checked disk space: The Virtual disk size is 25 GB, and the Actual size is 24.62 GB. There is a possible space issue, but unable to access the terminal within the VM to confirm.
