A Three-Dimensional Modeling of a Photovoltaic Thermal Hybrid Collector (PVT) Based on CdTe by the Comsol Software
Photovoltaic/Thermal Hybrid collectors are an emerging technology that combines PV and solar thermal collectors by producing heat and electricity simultaneously. In this paper, we have investigated a three-dimensional modeling of a photovoltaic thermal hybrid collector (PVT) based on CdTe by the Comsol Software where the temperature variation and the flow velocity of the collector in three dimensions are presented and analyzed. The main results show that the temperature of the PVT collector reaches a maximum value of 95,77 °C greater than the value for obtained by the PVT collector based on silicium and amorphous silicon (93,77 °C), the fluid flow velocity reaches a value of 0.00273 m/s greater than the value for obtained by the PVT collector based on monocrystalline silicon and amorphous silicon (0.00271 m/s).
