Azure Container App Outbound TCP port exhaustion
We are running a application which is span over 10 container app replicas and doing 1000 MQTT connections (one by one in a for loop) to IOT Hub in each replica, in total 10*1000 MQTT connections.
But during this process, we start getting MQTT timeout exceptions in all replicas and eventually MQTT connection stops in all replicas. It stops when all replicas have connected 225 – 350 MQTT connections each to IOT Hub.
So question are –
- Is there a limit on outbound tcp connection on replica level, If yes, what are they?
- Is there a limit on outbound tcp connection on node level/ environment level, If yes, what are they?
- Is it possible to scale up/out limits in any ways – Live have more replicas, aim small mqtt connections in each replica etc etc?
Can you help on how we should design this scenario better. We aim at opening 100 – 200K MQTT connections to IOT Hub.
