How to reproduce Flow Control

Recently we’ve been having reliability issues with our current design using RabbitMQ and one of the spotted issues was connection and channels leakage on our client code due to poorly written connection pool logic.

I am putting the effort to refactor this ConnectionPool but to achieve this I need to be able to have some “everything falls apart” scenarios, like credit flows and flow control everywhere.

Wondering if there’s any tool that RabbitMQ team uses to emulate/simulate Flow Control either by forcing Disk Pressure, Memory Alarms, forcing closing channels etc…

My ambitious idea is, besides being able to deliver a more robust connection pool, be able to run some integration test into my solution.
