Automatisation fundamental question – Bitwig Forum

i have a fundamental problem with bitwig’s automation, which makes it almost unusuable. where is the solution?
for example, if i program volume changes are recorded on an audio track, no matter if in the mixer panel or with the pen, no matter in which recording mode, bitwig records the changes, but after recording it jumps back to the initial value of the track. this is of course not good, it should keep the last volume value as the new initial value, only this way a successive mixdown is possible. what is the solution to make bitwig keep the updated parameters and not always take the old value again?
