Does anyone know about crystal cut?

Crystal cut is the orientation of a crystal when it is cut, sliced, or polished along certain planes. The orientation will determine how the light reflects off the surface and how strong the crystalline structure is. Material orientation in COMSOL refers to the orientation of the piezoelectric material relative to the crystal cut, i.e. xy, yx, zx, etc. To understand this better, you can refer to diagrams that illustrate the different crystal cuts and orientations. For example, a xy-cut would be when the crystal is cut along a plane parallel to the x and y axes, resulting in a rectangular shape. The material orientation for this would be xy, meaning the x and y axes are aligned with the crystal cut. Similarly, a yz-cut would involve cutting the crystal along a plane parallel to the y and z axes, resulting in a rectangular shape. The material orientation for this would be yz, meaning the y and z axes are aligned with the crystal cut.
