Re: GCP Project Limits – Google Cloud Community

We’re a no-code mobile app builder company, catering to e-commerce store owners looking to create their own mobile apps. A key feature of our product is the ability for store owners to send push notifications to their customers’ mobile devices. To facilitate this, we utilize Firebase Cloud Messaging. Currently, we have thousands of customers using our platform, and we anticipate steady year-on-year growth.

Our current push notification architecture involves creating a GCP (Google Cloud Platform) cloud project for each store and integrating Firebase into these projects. We programmatically generate Android and iOS apps within these projects. According to public documentation, there appear to be no specific limits on the number of projects within a GCP organization.

However, we recognize that creating thousands of projects might not be a common practice among GCP customers. Therefore, we seek clarification on whether our approach to creating numerous projects could potentially encounter any challenges in the long run. Additionally, we are interested in understanding if there are any upper limits imposed on the number of projects that can be established.
