Ya know……I wonder if woods in electrics age and open up over time as acoustics do. I have an Electra Phoenix MIJ that is much more alive than most things I play that are newer. Even with a thick coat of poly. It could also be that it was always that way and the woods they have access to today just arent as good. This guitar out lived many a LP, Strat and the like. Still beats out its only brother (a vintage Gibson The Paul).

I am always a bit skeptical of these cheap guitars and there woods…
