You could use devices that has settings for each process, so adapt however you want.

I use Shuttle Express for left hand and can configure for each application as I please. Daws one set of buttons and functions on each function, jog wheel, ring around jog wheel, buttons etc.

Maybe the larger Pro version would fit you better.

One way to get more productive….and mouse is still there using that….
