MAX5889, 90 or 91 interface to Linux ALSA or Jackd – Q&A – High-Speed DACs

Hi there,

I would like to interface one of the MAX5889 family of high speed DACs to Linux. In the past I did that with ADCs using an FPGA+ARM chip and axl lines directly into jackd.

In this case, I would like to interace the fast DAC preferably to ALSA.

What type of LVDS interface would suit this ? Is it possible to interface PCIe or something similar ?
