The PiCam Module is the mechanical solution to connect a ‘standard’ Raspberry Pi camera to a Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 board, without a big dev board. Perfect for making simple camera/vision boards.

The Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 (not included!) can be plugged into the bottom of the PiCam module. The camera (also not included!) is connected to the PiCam module via FFC/FPC ribbon cable. If needed, the camera module can also be mounted directly on the PiCam module, which achieves maximum compactness. The existing mounting holes cover a variety of Raspberry camera modules. Mounting hardware is not included, you could probably use our M2.5 mounting kit if you don’t have standoffs kicking around.

Any 15-pin camera should be compatible. Additionally, the PiCam module can also be used for programming the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4.

Usage Warning: According to the manufacturer, when connecting the camera sensor, it is essential to ensure that the 15-pin FFC/FPC cable is connected in the correct orientation! Otherwise, everything – the camera module, the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4, and the PiCam module will be irreversibly damaged!
